Here's a list of common questions we're asked about participation in the Maywood PTSA:

Who can join the PTSA?

The Maywood PTSA is an inclusive organization that is open to all adults who care about the Maywood Middle School and its students.  We have learned that the main thing parents want from schools is to help their child succeed academically, emotionally, and personally. PTSA bridges the connection between homes and schools. By getting involved with PTSA, the child who benefits most is one’s own. We reach out to diverse communities to allow parents to more fully integrate their children into the life of a school. We actively invite all parents to be involved in their children’s education through participation in PTSA. We work hard to bring mothers, fathers, teachers, school administrators, grandparents, mentors, foster parents, other caregivers, and community leaders into the association.

How do I volunteer to contribute my time?

We also welcome your involvement with our PTSA by volunteering for any of our committees, participating in our meetings, and/or helping with special projects.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Laurie Bowe or Denise Cramer.  Alternatively, you can send an email to info@maywoodptsa.org and your message will be forwarded to the committee chair.

Is my donation to PTSA tax deductible?

Yes, we are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and your donations to PTSA are tax deductible.
