Announcements:
- You are welcome to come to our November PTSA meeting this
Thursday, the 20th, at 6:30 pm in the Maywood library.
- The Issaquah School District Director of Capital Projects, Steve Crawford, will be here to speak about the upcoming remodel for Maywood. These improvements were voted on and passed in February 2006 through a levy.
- Our Enrichment Grant committee also has their recommendations for funding grants, and will present this information.
- All the students who participated in the Reflections program will be honored on Wednesday, November 19th. Finalists will be announced!
- The evening evening of Saturday, November 22nd is the 7th grade Social Activity - ice skating at Castle Ice! Contact Laurie Mendoza at 425-271-1867 for more information. Last day to sign up is Thursday - forms available in the office.
- The District is now forming a Middle School Focus Group to discuss the experience our students have during their middle school years. Each middle school PTSA has been requested to send two reps. Click here to read more.
- If you have a student with a desire to express themselves artistically, the Reflections Program is just the channel. Click here for more info.
- The response to our campus cleanup was great. As Jean Schreiner, the Maywood secretary says, "we have wonderful parents!" We'll be doing this again. Many thanks to the East Renton Community Church for choosing Maywood for a community service project!
- Thanks to everyone for all the support we have received this year. Our membership is growing! We're going for 100 % membership - that means one member per student. Several Issaquah schools accomplished this last year; we can too.
