Announcements:
- Announcing a VERY fun parent volunteer opportunity in August. Taking Care of Business Days will occur Aug 18th, 19th, and 20th and volunteers are needed from about 8 AM to 12:30 PM. You may work one day or all three; you may work a short shift or the entire morning. There are several stations where you can help. Please let us know if you can by phoning Kimberly Montague at 425 277-1083 or Suzi O'Brien at 425 227-3990!
- On August 4th from 9-noon, we will be folding and fastening the paperwork for Business Days. If you would like to be part of this fun, fast moving mailing event, please email Jean Schreiner @ schreinerj@issaquah.wednet.edu or call 425-837-6904.
- Taking Care of Business Days is when students and parents come to school to turn in necessary paperwork, select PE uniforms, put money in student’s lunch account, purchase ASB cards, have school pictures taken, order Maywood logo wear, join PTSA, sign up to volunteer at different events, make a one time donation to the PTSA, (The PTSA asks for your donation as we do not have fundraising activities - Freedom! from Fundraising. This is not to be confused with the Maywood ASB's only fundraiser, the annual Magazine Drive in September - save your renewals and subscriptions!)
- Thank you to everyone who helped with Maywood’s campus clean-up on April 25th! We actually built a ball-field! In addition, volunteers swept sidewalks, pressure washed the courtyard, shoveled mud out of the parking stalls, polished signs, picked up litter, painted, and weeded several gardens! WOW! The campus sparkled when we were done.
- The Special Education Support Center is surveying parents to better address the needs of families of special education students. If you are a parent of children in special education programs, please click this link and complete Survey #2.
- The District has formed a Middle School Focus Group to discuss the experience our students have during their middle school years. Each middle school PTSA has been requested to send two reps. Click here to read more.
- Thanks to everyone for all the support we have received this year. Our membership is growing! We're going for 100% membership - that means one member per student. Several Issaquah schools accomplished this last year; we can too.
